“I used to work in airport security.”
“I retired twelve years ago.”
“I know these devices.”
The officer looked back at the suitcase.
“Then why was it in your bag?”
The old man lowered his voice.
“Because someone switched our bags.”
The officer checked the security footage.

The old man had been sitting near the gate.
The young woman accidentally left her suitcase beside him.
A stranger walked by.
Swapped the bags.

“He planted it.”

“I made the same mistake.”

The officer returned to the old man.
