The recording played through a nearby patrol car speaker.
Children could be heard laughing as the bus followed its normal route.

The bus began drifting slightly within its lane.
Instead of speeding up, Michael switched on the hazard lights.

The bus rolled safely to a complete stop before he slumped forward against the steering wheel.

“It was dangerously low.”
“He suffered severe hypoglycemia.”
The room fell silent.
The superintendent lowered his eyes.
“I assumed he was intoxicated.”
Officer Hernandez calmly replied,
“Assumptions aren’t evidence.”
Hospital records later confirmed Michael had experienced a sudden diabetic emergency while driving.
His decision to pull over immediately prevented a potentially tragic accident.
The superintendent walked into Michael’s hospital room the following morning carrying his driver badge.
